Graphic Design, Print Design
As a contract artist for Love Apps LLC, I have worked with Chicago-based media/marketing consultants Northern Media, Inc. on numerous advertising jobs printed all across the United States. Major accounts I have worked for include Heineken USA (and various promotional partners including Buffalo Wild Wings and Major League Soccer) as well as Pernod Ricard.
I have contributed as a digital artist to a wide variety of prints for these brands, from simple banners and posters to complex cling wraps and special promotional displays. I worked alongside Alex Wagman, owner of Northern Media, and Brian Wilkins, owner and project manager at Love Apps, on all these projects.
Below are select samples of the more notable campaigns I have worked on.
I was tasked to create an original design to be wrapped around a large beer cooler installed at Dos Equis Pavilion, an outdoor event venue in Dallas, TX. Heineken (owner of Dos Equis) wanted the design to have an “old Texas feel” to it while highlighting the Dos Equis brand.
Working with Brian and Alex, I came up with a design to give the cooler an old painted wood look, using stock textures of weathered planks to wrap around around all four sides. I added in color and additional graphics to appear painted on the wood walls, being mindful of the placement of elements around the cooler door, beer taps and other obstructions on the cooler itself.
As part of a cross promotion with Heineken and Major League Soccer, Northern Media pitched a “takeover” campaign to Buffalo Wild Wings, in which sections of their restaurants would feature Heineken branding. As part of the sales deck, I modeled and rendered in Autodesk Maya a 3D scene of such a section to help demonstrate how branded elements would be displayed.
The “takeover” campaign was tailored specifically to markets in Illinois and Minnesota, featuring those markets’ local MLS teams.
Northern Media was contracted to create a special wrap around a Ford Expedition owned by Chicago-based FM radio station Q101. With provided measurements, I laid out a soccer-themed design around the vehicle featuring the Heineken logo printed on the pitch grass.
These bottle neckties I designed were part of a limited-time promotion between Heineken and the Nashville Soccer Club.
I created the background art for a soccer-themed Plinko game board featuring Heineken branding. These were put up on display at various bars and restaurants across the Midwest.
I designed this poster, featuring a landmark Chicago train station, for display at various locations in Chicago’s Hyde Park area.
I designed this poster for Dos Equis to be displayed at the 2018 Forecastle Music Festival in Louisville, KY.
For Pernod Ricard, I have laid out numerous large prints and wraps advertising Martell Cognac. These sample displays were installed at various shops around Indianapolis and Gary IN.
